KHAROS

An immersive, audio-driven horror experience unlike anything gamers have encountered before.

Zack Reed

A new kind of horror experience born in total darkness.

BLYMP is stepping boldly into new territory with KHAROS, an immersive, audio-driven horror experience unlike anything players have encountered before. Designed for mobile devices and built entirely around binaural sound, KHAROS plunges players into a pitch-black underworld ruled by the Keeper of the Dead… Kharos.

This is not just a game. It is a sensory descent. A journey through fear guided by sound. A test of nerve, instinct, and imagination.

And every step takes you closer to him.

A horror experience crafted entirely from sound.

KHAROS is built on a simple idea: darkness is more terrifying when it’s real. In this world, players cannot see a thing. There are no flickering lights, no shadows at the edge of the screen. Instead, the world is shaped by sound — rich, layered and spine-tightening.

With only a pair of headphones, players are thrust into a binaural environment so immersive that the world feels three-dimensional. Footsteps, whispers, growls, echoes, shifting debris… every sound has depth, distance, and direction.

Turn, and the world responds.

Step too loudly, and something may hear.

KHAROS transforms the player’s movements into consequences. Gyroscope detection allows the game to “listen” for steps, shuffles, and sudden motions. A misstep may alert something lurking in the black.

Every level is a maze of hazards and hungry terrors. Rivers that hiss like boiling steam. Wailing corridors filled with drifting souls. Splintering floorboards that threaten to break beneath the player. Creatures with their own audio signatures — some stalking slowly, some rushing from afar, some waiting patiently for the faintest tremor.

Players are not simply hearing the experience — they are inside it.

Meet Kharos — the Keeper of the Dead

He is ancient.

He is hungry.

And he feeds on your fear.

In this realm, all souls who die arrive confused, lost, and terrified — and Kharos thrives on that dread. His underworld is a labyrinth engineered to ensnare those who fall into his grasp. The player is one such soul. But unlike the others, they have a choice: escape… or be claimed.

Two ways to face the darkness.

KHAROS offers two play modes at the start of the journey:

Normal Mode

A tense but forgiving route.

If the player is caught, torn apart, or swallowed into the void, they return to their most recent checkpoint to continue their escape. Perfect for those who want to explore the depths of the underworld without fear of losing all progress.

Nightmare Mode

A ruthless challenge. A true test of endurance and bravery.

If the player dies in Nightmare Mode, they start from the very beginning. No checkpoints. No second chances. Only the most determined players will survive the trek to the light.

Those who complete the journey in Nightmare Mode will earn badges of honour and trophies to show off at the app store level — rare, desirable rewards that prove they faced Kharos himself and lived to tell the tale.

A world that evolves with the player.

Each maze in KHAROS introduces new threats:

• Monsters that stalk you quietly

• Creatures that charge the moment you freeze

• Entities drawn to fast footsteps

• Hazards that crumble beneath your feet

• Rivers of death that pull the unwary

• Places where the sound itself feels alive

Players must learn to listen with their ears and rely on instincts.

The world guides them with subtle audible signals — pulsing tones, distant beacons, crescendos, and directional cues that lead them toward escape. But always, something inches closer.

As the player grows stronger, Kharos grows aware.

His realm tightens. His gaze sharpens. His patience thins.

A final ascent to the light.

The goal is not just to survive — it is to ascend. To break free from Kharos’s grip. To reach the light. To let the soul rest.

Only those who endure every horror, evade every creature, resist every lure, and remain calm in total darkness will escape the domain of Kharos.

KHAROS will be released initially on iOS, with Android support arriving shortly after. Players will also have access to in-game rewards and achievement trophies through their device’s app store systems, encouraging not just survival, but mastery.

This is horror reinvented for a new era. This is sound used as storytelling. This is fear shaped into an interactive experience.

This is KHAROS.

The underworld awaits. The Keeper is listening. Will you escape, or will he claim your soul?
